Mission Statement

At fight fit militia we train with the objective of genuine fitness, not the appearance of fitness. The methods we use are based on old ideas, new research, creativity, functional training based evidence and our own twisted take on conditioning. We train to improve relative strength, speed- power-endurance and a flight or fight mentality (usually the latter), because in these areas we are immeasurably malleable & pliable.

The militia headquarters is not a cozy place. No fancy machines, no comfortable spot to sit (just grappling mats and lots of concrete) and you are not surrounded by mirrors. Our training causes apprehension and discomfort. Effort and exertion can not be avoided. The support of like-minded & dedicated men & woman is pinnacle to our community. Individuals push harder for longer in the company of similar suffering peers. Easy is not fun and fun is never easy. Infinite intensity and infinite variability. Everyday is different

Whether you train to fight in a cage or fight the urge to quite your workout YOU dictate your level of involvement. There is no hierarchy or A-team practice, just natural selection.

The gym does not give you attention; it gives you what you need…….a will to come back tomorrow to be what you need to be.
